salvaged titles aren't bad if you know what you are getting yourself into... its not an investment to say the least...

thats not the way i read it but i guess i coulda read it wrong....he said he bought the car and it ran good but he was wondering if he should sell it and get a cobra instead and that he has no plan to keep the gt anyways, he wanted to give it to his brother in a few years it sounded like

lol intill you get in a wreck and the insurance company gives you less than half of what the car books for. my lincoln has a rebuilt title, when i was backed into at a red light the girl did 5500 in damages. at the time it had88,000 miles and is a 95, it booked for 5700-5900 when the adjusted came out and looked at it. due to the fact it had a rebuilt title already the value of the car dropped to 2200.00. i bought it back for less than 200 and got a check for 2000.00. i got screwed out of more than 3500.00 because of the branded title.

5500 in damage from her backing into you at a redlight? seems awfully fishy to me

oh yea...and thats why you dont pay book to begin with for a salvage title car... if you paid book then you have no reason to complain about losing money on it...thats why a lot of times people take 40-50 percent off book when they buy a salvage vehicle to begin with

well since the mark 8 was only made from 93-98 and my body style was only made for 3 years the parts are long gone off the shelfs and theres no aftermarket companys making collision parts. i got 3 diffrent quotes for the insurnce company, sh*t the head lights alone were 1000.00 each!!! and the hood was 2200.00. oh yeah she put a trailor hitch thru the front of my car. also i only payed 2500 for the car. my point was i didnt even get half of what the car booked for.

I have fogs, I'll trade ya for the brace but then again they may have yellows since they have been off the car for so long, I'll check it out.
