Default shaker hood on GT

Anyone ever put a Mach 1 shaker on a GT? How much did you spend and did it give you a power gain? I got a 2004 looking to spice it up a bit.

I don't think you are going to gain power from it. you might gain a couple pounds of weight from it but that's it. oh yeah and a new look too. lol

I could give a rats behind if it gave me more power or not, I got my CDC Shaker system strictly for looks.

$750 + paint and decal.
It took me about 10hrs to put it on, so do it your self or it will cost a fortune to have a shop do it.

I personally don't like the shakers on GTs. I think they should stay on machs. But you won't gain any power...just the look.

Default power

I was thinking that I would get power by making the hood scoop functional like a Ram Air system.

Even back in the day regular Mustangs could have Shakers as options.
I wish they could have been an option on the regular new edges as well.

Are you are talking about your stock hood scoop?

The idea was making the hood scoop functional and at the same time adding a shaker hood. It is stock right now and just looking for something to do to it.
