Pi swap?
Sorry for the new topic its just this is the mod that im really looking into but have no idea what i need I heard on here when i was "new" that this mod will be under 1k but how can you tell the difference between windsor and romeo heads and what valve covers to buy? And does anyone already have a set with the valve covers? plz help?

Well, if you find heads from an 01-04 you can just reuse your valve covers. The romeo heads have 11 bolts holding down the covers, windsor heads have 13/14.
*edit* It might be the other way around......13/14 for Romeo and 11 for Windsor, I can't remember now since I second guessed myself......

I got my complete PI kit from a supplier in Georgia called Parkway Performance. Ridiculous price, and free ground shipping in the states.
Check it out, it's worth the money to just get a complete kit and have piece of mind in the fact that you have everything you need.
The only two problems I ran into were complete odd-ball issues. Firstly, the new intake gaskets were barely 1-2mm out from where it should have been, compared to the old gaskets. I had to re-use my old gaskets. Very strange.
As for the second odd-ball issue, a small oil control set screw on the back of the Right Head was not supplied with the kit, therefore the old one was used. DAMN good thing we spotted it when we did, or oil would have been PISSING out of that head
As I said, though. Just get a complete kit. If you havn't got the foggiest idea of where to even begin with this Swap, you should really just cover all the bases.
In the mean time, there is plenty of good literature around. Here is some very good literature with some great info, Know your enemy
