I'm guessing it can work if you get one of those small pocket projectors but then it will have to be hooked up to some kind of computer with a software that can show the speedo and tach...
Maybe hooked up to a small PC with some kind of datalogging software that is hooked up to the car?

well, I would imagine if you can take one from a corvette, which would probably be easily found, and wire it (I'd imagine it would be close to the same), I think it would work.
but molding it into the dash would be tricky
