I have a crappy adjustable cable but it has lasted 3 years.

I have question? I still have a stock quadrant and when I was using the stock cable I did the pulling up on the clutch pedal thing, How do I get a it back to the original setting? Sorry if that sounds silly but I can't think of how else to word it? Also does anyone have a pic of a stock quadrant?

I picked one up from Maroone Ford of Margate a few days ago. They had it in stock and it was like 75 bucks.

I can check and see if they have more in stock, if it'll save you the drive. (They're right down the street from my house.)

Shoot me a PM and let me know,
Alan
I checked 3 Ford dealerships in Tampa, all with the same answer. Thanks for the offer, I'll stick with the one I ordered already, if/when it breaks I'll fork the cash over for a stock cable.

13 miles east of Morgantown. You should check out a local site I moderate and help start. We have a few thousand members.

No worries, but let me know. I'm coming up to Tampa on the 9th/10th.

Personally, I'm not entirely convinced the adjustable cables are always the problem.

I think a bad quadrant with a radius that's too sharp can lead to improper alignment of the cable. I think this causes it to snap the cable.

Ever notice most people break the cable at the top?

Also, running the cable too close to the exhaust is a sure killer. I just lost one to that cause last week.
