Anyone have this clutch cable

I don't know what brand headers they are, but I'm thinking they're the reason the cable took a dump.
They're REALLY close to the tranny and the cable, so the heat could be causing the damage.
The heat stretches and weakens the cable and actually using it causes it to break.

Really? I never noticed it being that close on any of my cars.
I need to get some glasses.
I'd look into some heat shielding or even getting the cover back on. (If it was missing at all.)
