yeah, the dumbasses that put the clutch in didn't put it back on so I gotta find a parts car to get one

I don't know what brand headers they are, but I'm thinking they're the reason the cable took a dump.

They're REALLY close to the tranny and the cable, so the heat could be causing the damage.

The heat stretches and weakens the cable and actually using it causes it to break.

thats pretty much where all long tube headers come out next to the trans.

Really? I never noticed it being that close on any of my cars.

I need to get some glasses.

I'd look into some heat shielding or even getting the cover back on. (If it was missing at all.)

true...but you always hear a lot more about the aftermarket cables snapping.
