Default Anyone else have to replace headlight bulbs a lot?

I'm using the stock headlight assembly, everything looks normal. I haven't found any shorts in the wiring or anything like that. But I seem to be going through quite a few bulbs. It's the 9007 bulb, and I go through about 1 bulb a month. It alternates on which light goes out. Sometimes it's the driver side, sometimes the passenger side.

Anyone else going through these quite a bit? Or what should I do to troubleshoot my problem?

No, they're just regular bulbs basically. I had been buying the Sylvania Cool Blue 9007 Bulbs, but I changed it up and went with Philips this time.

That was my initial speculation (that or a short in the wires). I haven't noticed any moisture inside of the assembly... however, next time it rains I'm gonna double check.

All of my electrical accessories have been working fine with no problems. I know how to use a volt meter, I just don't know where to check... never had this problem before.

Are you making sure NOT to touch the actual glass part with your fingers while you're putting them in? The oil on your finger will make them blow quickly

Yeah, I knew about that. My brother told me and it says on the packages. Unless I'm getting unlucky and someone opened the box already and touched them...

Afterall, I am buying them at AutoZone lol.

Well, I went through and tested all of my connectors and wires with a Muse (expensive little device I use at work). Everything checked good. So I unplugged all the connectors and plugged them back in just to make sure everything has good contact. This wouldn't be so bad if light bulbs were cheaper... but at $30 a set, it gets kinda old.

Yea I can understand, I would think that would get old too.

What all did you test for? Resistance, voltage, amps, watts?
