ive been looking around and the mechanical ones are around 50 bucks and the electrical ones are around 200, which ones are the best to get?? and why is the price so different??
For fuel pressure and nitrous pressure, you definitely want to get electric gauges! With mechanical gauges, you are actually bringing the fuel, or nitrous, or both, into the cockpit with you, and that ain't good! The electric gauges are more expensive because they have electronic sending units with small circuit boards that do the job of translating the line or rail pressures into digital formats.
Absolutely! As long as you stick with a name brand such as AutoMeter, everything you need is in the box, including a decent set of installation instructions.
where do you guys normally tap into the fuel line for a fuel pressure gauge? as close to the fuel rails as possible?
that was my next question i was going to ask. on the pics they have on the internet that i could find they show where you are suppose to tap into but im pretty sure its the same spot where i had to tap into for my fuel line for the nitrous. is that the same spot where i have to tap into?
