Tranny Seals Leaking - 4r70w
Looks like the main or rear seal on my transmission is leaking, it's not a bad leak, just a drop here and there.
I have the 4r70w automatic transmission.
-Can I just keep adding tranny oil for a little while until I can afford the fix?
-How much will this cost to replace?
Thanks!

The rear seal it leaking?
You'll probably spend more money on tranny fluid than fixing it. Most rear seals are like $15-25. Just take the driveshaft out, use a flat head screw driver and hammer to get the old one out, and bang the new one in with the hammer.
If it's the front one where the torque convertor is, you'll need to remove the tranny.

I have the same problem but plan to do it myself. A shop is probably going to charge you somewhere around $100 to replace the rear seal and probably around $300 - $400 if not more to do the front seal since the tranny has to be dropped to replace the front seal. If you go that route and have high miles on the car, you might want to just take it to a tranny shop and get them to freshen the whole tranny up with new seals and clutches inside and out. That should cost you somewhere around $800 - $1000.
However, If you got some mustang friends around where you live with a lift and a little mechanical knowledge, you could take the tranny out yourself and take it to a tranny shop and get all of it done around $200 - $400 and you would practically have a new tranny.

If it's the front it depends on where you take it. I'd guestimate they'd probably charge 5-7 hours of labor, so whatever the hourly rate is.
