I just don't understand the "hypercoated" finish.

Default I just don't understand the "hypercoated" finish.

What the **** is it? They basically look like chrome without as much of a "mirror" finish. Maybe that's just it? The hypercoated FR500s are the same way. Almost chrome, but no "mirror" finish.

Anyone seen these in person?

The problem is that there seems to be a competely different finished called "gunmetal". The hypercoated Saleens look more silver-ish, but then the "gunmetal" Saleens look more anthracite-ish.

Here's the "gunmetal" Saleens I was talking about:

Hypercoated is like halfway between silver and gun-metal and then with a really glossy finish.

anyone have a way of putting the 3 different 'shades' of the same wheel up?

Matt, that Cobra looks freaking amazing with those wheels.

I don't generally like anything other than Chrome, especially not darker colors, but that looks amazing.

I think there are three, it is Hypercoated, Gunmetal, and Anthracite. All look about the same, just small variations i think or maybe it is the light, anyway, if you know one, you know them all. Alot of people use them interchangeably, so I can't say I've seen hypercoated in person.
