i have a batt relocation but i didnt put a kill switch in it...mine was pretty easy to install and made a hell of a difference....my car is a corner carver but i want it more for drag so would me removing the front and rear sway bars make it better for drag and what kind of downside does this have to it?
you need a kill switch if you want to drag race it...wont pass tech without one...also, if its in a plastic box, you will need a firewall in the trunk
Jay, Jim or anyone help me out here. This has always confused me and maybe you know... I understand wanting to soften the hit with a 5 speed nitrous car, but why do so may people recommend a stiff sidewall slick with a 5 speed nitrous car? that seems like just the opposite, doesn't it?
The problem you get when you don't use the "S" sidewall is that a stick car pounds the tire too hard. It can almost bounce the rim off the ground wne running low air pressures. This "bouncing" can unload the chassis. It also kills the sidewall much quicker which makes the tire very inconsistent. To counter than you need to run more air pressure...which isn't optimal. The answer is the "S" or stiff sidewall....tire can take more of a beating and you don't have to run higher air pressure to compensate for the weaker sidewall.
