Look into a set of Bullitt/ Mach 1 /Cobra brakes w/ stainless steel line. It is a fantastic upgrade for any stock Mustang. And for a brake upgrade they are fairly cheap.

But if don't have the wallet for that a set of performance pads and SOLID or SLOTTED rotors will help. I don't like crossdrilled rotors for street use.

yeah right now i got some **** reg pads that the car came with and i have drilled and slotted rotors in the front and back. since i dont really have the wallet i think im gunna start off with the pads hoping that it'll make a reasonable difference...then after that hopefully getting cobra calipers... =)

+1 on the Baer equipment, That's what I ran on my car. It stopped better than my Z06.

You had a Griggs TA too right? That makes a huge difference.
