help me plan mods for future boosted app.
Well within the next 1 to two years I plan to go boosted with a supercharger...nothing extreme just maybe a simple vortech kit as I am not looking to make massive power. I can't do it sooner because I am stationed in alaska and there is pretty much only 1 place that comes to mind to do the dyno tune and it's over 300 miles away. So my concern is I want to continue to do mods in the mean time but nothing as little as possible as far as things that will have to come back off once I get the kit. So in short. Is there a good list of what will and won't when installing a super charger as far as other bolt ons and mods in general?

Don't buy a cold air intake or under drive pulleys. You will need to take them off when you get the supercharger. Since you intend to get a centrifical supercharger a 75mm TB/Plenum is a good engine modification. Other mods such as exhaust, suspension, shifter, and gears are totally independent of the supercharger.

Build your Car up around the Motor...
Suspension(Front and Back if u have the cash)
Rear End(31 spline with Gears)
Cobra Brakes
Tires
Throttle Body & Upper Plenium
Full Exhaust (Long Tubes, X Pipe, Catback)
SVT Focus Pump(if your only going to stay ~400whp)
Spark Plugs
If you want more, Then you get into:
Fuel System
Built Block
Heads/Cams
Slicks N Skinnys
Better Intake Manifold
Good Luck with your build!!!

stay away from u/d pullies, and cai. gears make a big difference (3:90, 4:10 for centri), t/b plenum combo (75mm is good), building up the rear is always a good idea. invest in a clutch, and a good set of tires.

Built rear with 3.90's, uca/lca's, adjustable shocks and struts, new clutch, tb/plenum, drag radials, lightning maf with some bigger injectors, maybe some blower cams and springs. Oh, and dont forget full exhaust with longtubes, choice of o/r midpipe, and choice of catback.

Thanks for the advice guys. I figured pullies and CAI would have to come off. Already got the tb/plenum combo and working on the exhaust. I am not sure what to do with the stock rear end as I am affraid the stock axles won't last long even with only a trip to the track here and there and the rest daily driving. I am guessing to upgrade axels you really need a whole new rear end huh?

Agreed w/ above. I think the suspension is a great place to start. What are you plans for the car? Sounds like you are planning on heading to the track every once in a while. What power are you hoping to put down? You may not have to mod your engine very much at all if the blower alone will get you the power you are looking for.
