i've dropped about 100 lbs from my car. i don't know if it's any faster but it definitely feels a lot more composed in the corners. annddd i get better fuel economy now (if any of u actually care about that lol)

so in other words...

more hp = faster in a straight line
less weight = faster in a straight line, better handling, better fuel economy

Weight reduction will help out more on a torqueless honda than a mustang

200 lbs is probably more like .3

evo 9 vs evo 10 with like the same power but a 300 lb weight differance is like .6-.7 in the 1/4
Yes, but Both Cars have Different Power/Torque Curves.... And it Depends where the weight was lost from.... Save Weight on Driveshaft/Tires Great.

Every Car is DIfferent, Different Power Bands and stuff. There is probably no Definite Number..

There is no definite number. And there is alot of variables to look at, to reach a conclusion of a number. But what most people go by is by losing a hundred pounds it will shave about a tenth off your quarter mile time.

+1 too many variable but typically its 100 Ibs equals .10 or so in the 1/4 for a typical car. could be more for a 13-14 sec car and could be less for a 10 sec car.

I dont know about you guys but I can definately feel a differance when I remove weight.

I can feel a differance when my 180 lb friend is sitting in the car vs when he is not.

I cant also feel a differance when I take my rear seat out and my sound system out of the trunk.

In general I would say if you take 100 lbs off a 3300 lb mustang with near stock power you will see a .1 drop in ET.

but if you were to take say 300 lbs off that car I believe you could see more than .3....maybe because with less weight the car gets out of the hole a lot better but I would be willing to bet if you took a 250 rwhp mustang @ 3300 lbs, removed 300 lbs, that same car with a 3000 lb curb weight would run more than .3 faster given it has the tires to hold the ground
