My neighbor has a 96 gt convertable. I'm wondering what they run stock in the 1/4 cause we raced from a dead stop to 60mph just for ****s and giggles and I started pulling on him out of first gear. My mods are in my sig. His is stock Is this normal for me to pull on him? I geuss those 2.73's and the vert. weight dont help him huh?

yes thats why I was shocked. Granted we only went to about 60-70ish but I pulled him hard out of first. I geuss in a full 1/4 he pull me, but the way I had him by a car I have my doubts he would of caught up.

Ha! I had a 96 hardtop GT 5 spd all stock besides Bassani offroad x pipe, 40 series flows, and 315's out back( I know thats way too big lol, I got them for free...) and it ran 15.430 at 91 mph... PATHETIC! It was a good run too besides my reaction time. I raced another 96 GT and it beet me by about a half a car length that day at the High school drags.

Npi 4.6s aren't the best performers, trust me, I have one. But I have a hard time seeing you beating one even if he's stock cause your auto. I raced my friends 2002 Firebird 3800 series V6(he has 3.73s and M5) and beat him hands down, and he's rated at 200/225. But maybe those 4.10's and tune gave you the edge.

who knows. i didn't even think i'd be near him honestly. He has those 2.73's though and it was a vert. which prolly hurt him for me to hold with him.

Ouch, our Saturn Vue ran better than that........... of course its not to hard to fix the Stang, just gotta have some $$$$$ to do it. I still have yet to get down to the strip to see if my stang can outrun my last car (supercharged 4). I think it will, but it could be all in my head to because of how loud the car is.
