damn i see cobras about as often as i see a ferrari around here...for real. Not many people even have new edge GTs by me, but damn if there isnt a million S197s crusing around! They are frikain everywhere!

OP-if its in your price range-get that termi, hands down. You won't regret it. I will never by an automatic again, and i deal with rough traffic downtown too, you just learn to drive it thats all. Good Luck with the purchase and keep us posted!

Man I'd hate to live in some of your guys towns. I can't drive the 10 mile drive home from work without passing a cobra, new camaro, challanger, built TA or camaro, or blown mustang gt's. They are everywhere around here. Hell when I have partys at my house and invite all my friends there 5 cobras that will be parked out front with 2 of them being mystic chrome ones.

I guess living in a military town has it's benifits since everybody's got money and nice cars. But I would still get the GT (new edge) and build it to be different then anything else. That will get you more of a wow factor then a cobra.

Now is this thread are we comparing power of a built GT or so to a stock terminator or a built terminator?

My point is that cobra's are way overpriced for what they are and this guy wants a supercharged auto. His best route is to get a GT and slap a blower on it. Much more cost effective.

If he wants to retain a factory waranty of a supercharged car then get a cobra because they are cheaper then an 05+ saleen or roush even tho you can't get a cobra in an auto.

If you want to compare dollar to dollar built gt or cobra the gt is going to win. Lightly modded gt to cobra dollar to dollar the cobra will win.

No, don't explain your reasoning.

Most everyone understands that if you buy a car for 6K, you'll have a lot more room to modify than you would if you bought a car for 20-25K

Nobody is interested in hearing a Cobra vs S/C GT debate.

By wow factor, he meant more exclusive, less common IN GENERAL.
Just because your town has 10,000 Cobras or whatever else in it does not mean that a Cobra is less rare than a GT.

If I were you, it sounds like you want something that you can play with.
Go with a used 05-07ish GT and supercharge it. You'll have spent less money than you would have on the Cobra, and you won't feel as bad daily driving it everywhere and piling the miles on.

+1. Their are many way to looks at this. The way I do it is I financed mine and pay monthly of only $250, so I still have a **** load to mod the hell out of it, which I have.

Mustangman281: You are the only guy I know that has 1 badass GT. Every GT I have seen has a max of 400-480rwhp and that's it. I have to ask, do you have any other plans for your car?

I'll give you that that they are rare because I have been trying to find one local I can buy as a DD. Closest is like 200 miles away and not worth the trip.

If you want something more rare then an 03 cobra then get an 03 mach 1. there are 13,476 (give or take a few) 03 cobras out there but only 9652 mach 1's in 03. An 04 cobra is more rare with only 5,664 made but not as rare as a Crimson Red GT with only 4,529 made.
