Running without mufflers is no different than using a straight through muffler.. instead a straight through muffler just ipens up to 3" instead of staying 2 1/4" like the stock diameter piping.
Your engine does not need back pressure. The reason people think they lose power from losing back pressure is because they open their exhaust with stock cams and stock tune. Less back pressure requires more overlap in the cams (unless your supercharged) and a re tune to get the a/f correct.
