Besides the possible noise in the engine area, I did find this when looking into the inspection hole on the tranmission. It appears as if the clutch release fork is just sliding around the throw out bearing but watch closer about half way through the video and to the end and you can plainly see that the main shaft and throw out bearing are moving up and down A LOT! (about 1" of actual play.) Pilot bearing is trashed and input shaft bearing on tranny too.

Was the trans making any noise? Chattering? I mean what would you like us to tell you, its bad? lol I think you already figured that 1 out.

gotcha, yeah I guess it does seem a little lame, I guess I am looking for possible similiar incidents that may have happened to others, and their opinions and/or input as to what their experience was when it happened to them, like did they think that the engine was coming apart at first... This transmission was suppose to have been professionally rebuilt within the year, and a new clutch installed at the same time. I would'nt had thought that it would have ended up like this in that time, especially considering the guy I bought it back from is like 60, and basically putted around in probably 99% of the time.

Sounds like someone gave your the run around. I used to have a 98 Cobra and the only trans problem I had was when I broke the 3-4 shift fork in half.
