Default anyone have a rattle with pypes o/r X?

My pypes O/R X is making a rattle. Mainly when you engine break gearing down. It's like it's coming form the rear passenger side. I have the stock catback with flowmaster weld ins. I can't seem to find the rattle so was curious if anyone else had it. Also where the down pipes meet the X and you have those band clamp things...has anyone used exhaust wrap/bandage behind those clamps to eliminate the minor leak from that area?

I just had the midpipe welded and took those ****ty clamps off. That rattling might be one of the baffles from your miufflers. Flows are known for that to happen.

Humm...I will have to look into that. It didn't start until I put the pipe on about a week ago....It's so annoying and is one of those things that's hard to trace down!

Just put my Pypes o/r x pipe on as well with flowmasters. Try tightening all of your oxygen sensors. One of mine was loose...as well aa baffles from inside the muffler broken off. So it could be a combination of things. But other than the rattle, what do you think of the sound??? I really like it personally...but everyone else on here tends to hate on it.

There shouldnt be anything to rattle on an O/r midpipe.. either you didnt tighten everything down or u have muffler issues.

I think it sounds badass myself! minus the rattles of course! I don't think it's the baffles because it jsut started it as soon as I drove it with the new pipe. I am wondering it it's not got a sag going on and making the muffler vibrate against something. It is almost like it's in the damn trunk....I really wouldn't mind new mufflers like a straight thru but jsut can't afford it right now. Shipping here is hella expensive!

I have a rattle coming from the rear as well, but I am pretty sure that it is my catback that needs tightened up.

When I hold my tail pipe on the pass side the vibration goes away during reving. Looks like something loose ....

You have weld-ins though right??? Might be some clearance problems with various parts to do with the rear end. Get it up in the air with a lift or a jack and a set of jack stands or something and see whats going on under there.

You can hold your tail pipe and rev the car at the same time?!!??! :O

Well, sounds like you found your problem. There's so many things a catback can rattle off of on these cars.
