How much HP is too much?

+1 on the platform theory. My car is extremely stable. Even when I nail it in 4th at 70mph and the tires break loose the car stays perfectly straight. But my buddys turocharged 393 fox, with classified hp numbers, when he hits it the car goes sideways and scares the **** out of me while riding in it and my car has more power. He can't even do a full pull. He has basic rear suspension upgrades and rides on MT drag radials. I'm hoping he is gonna let me hook it up right.

And just wait 'till you cage er', I guarantee you it'll be at least 1.5x as stable, feel a heck of alot better.

Yeah too bad the cage got put on hold because I have a few other things to take care of first. I will hit my hp goal first and I was so close last monday and then I got belt slip

See, that's the thing about being satisfied with around 600 
, I don't have to worry about spending money on stuff I don't need 
just remember, before you twist your frame into a pretzel, you're wasting a whole bunch of energy twisting the frame that could be turned into forward energy

6.3x 10^15th is where you start to run in to real traction issues, anything below that is great for a daily driver.
Ok all kidding aside, i think that anything over about 500hp with out some very good computer power/esp/traction control management is just too much to handel as a daily driver. I like how MB does it on some of the very high HP/TQ cars, they retard the motor until you are going ~20MPH then it allows the motor to build up to full power/boost makes a 600+hp car very easy to drive in traffic. Just a few weeks ago i drove a Kleemaan built SLK 55amg that made over 800hp and it was a sweetheart in traffic, and on the autobahn it was a monster like it should be.

Any amount of power is ok for a daily driver as long as youre sensible. I mean you can drive a car with 1000rwhp around all day as long as you stay out of boost. And you usually wont see that much decrease in gas mileage. but like i said, you gotta stay outta boost for that to happen.

I drive my car everyday rain, snow or shine. My clutch is very light (spec stage 1). My gas mileage has barely changed from when the car is stock unless I go into boost alot. I haven't had anything break yet. I am bored with my power level and will be bumping it up over the next couple of months. The day I hit 1500rwhp will be when I won't drive the car on the street every day.
