Default i want it louder!

I have an 03 GT, its completely stock, i just put on flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers, still have the stock h pipe. i would like to get an O/R X pipe but i cant with the emissions tests in pennsylvania. i LOVE the sound of the 1 chamber flows but i would like it a little bit louder, is there anyway to do this and still keep it legal? would high flow cats make it sound much different? if so, is that something i could do by myself? any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

It would definitely make it loader. The install you could tackle yourself as long as you have a jack and jack stands or ramps. I did mine and it wasn't that bad the passenger side is a bitch make sure you have some extensions and swival sockets, possibly a breaker bar and depending how many miles are on your car it may be good to get new gaskets for the connection between the xpipe and the headers. Go catted if you have to deal with emissions.

I'd ask him about it, but you should be able to install a midpipe on your own easy enough, I did. And going to high flows, an x pipe, and the step from 2.25" to 2.5" piping should make a difference. Nothing's gonna make the difference like LT's and an O/R pipe though. I want to redo my exhaust with that setup and some macs.

My car was going to pass emmissions in PA no matter what but it legitimately passed. Apparently the cars burn really clean.
