I am putting BOI at the top of my list of Do Not Buy From. RPMOutlet held the number 1 spot for 2 years now they are number 2 and BOI has taken number 1 lol
,
After hearing this story I wanna go beat the living **** out of the owner.

Yeah, that's pretty funny lol!!!!!!

But I must say, I have ordered from BOI and my stuff came without any problems. I don't think they sent the tracking number until a few days after I placed the order....but that's about it from my personal experience.

It's too bad this isn't the first time I've read about ****ty customer service at BOI, though.

I Completely agree that BOI was out of line how they acted, it should have been a simple im sorry its our policy, pay restocking or resell it on ebay!!!!

I wonder why they decided to take it back after they found out he was in the Army??
I am a sales and customer service manager for a company. I will offer you a 30 day return window before I charge any sort of restocking fee. That gives people more than enough time to open the packages and ensure what they got is what they wanted. Mistakes happen and you can't expect to charge people that kind of money when they do.

I agree its ****ty..If i were the guy i wouldn't wanna pay for my mistake. I would probably try to get them to give me a break as well.. If anything, i would have given the guy Store Credit for the Full amount.... (so that way i still had his business). I wouldnt be a COMPLETE ***...

I had a similar experience with them when I bought my headlights a in early 2007. It was not as big an issue as the OP revealed--but they were real BIG dicks on the phone, which got them on my "never again" list...

Wow what a mess. Sounds like both are in the wrong a little, but bad customer service is inexcusable. He should have paid the restocking fee for his mistake if that is their policy, and they shouldnt have acted like they arent running a business, so instead of him paying for his small mistake, they are now paying for their much larger mistake.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about BOI. That is one company that just needs to fail. Period.
