You're gonna get raped if you try to sell it again.

THink about it, youre hesitant to pay 17K for it with 30K and the minor scuffs/imperfections now.

Pretend you're another buyer 1-2 years later, more miles, more small inperfections, and an even younger person has had it for a short time.

They're going to KNOW it was hard miles, plus be skeptical as to why you only kept hte car for one year.

I really only want the car for a summer toy, for the rest of this year, and maybe next year, then i'd sell it in the fall next year.

I would definitely buy it. I dont think that car resale is a business intended for making profit. But hell, take the radio out , break the radio, put in a old am/fm radio, i dont care what the radio is if you are selling me a 2003 Cobra with 3xxxx miles.... i want it.

In this economy, I wouldn't expect anything to hold its value for a year or two....especially a vehicle.

How about you don't buy it, sounds like you aren't serious about it. Btw, cars are one of the worst investments. Why sell it in a yr or two? Sounds dumb to me when that car is beloved by many mustang fans. Don't buy it and let someone else who wants that car for many more than years than you purchase it.
