gear install prices?

Where do you think I can get gears installed for around $200 provided I supply all the parts?

Also, what did you guys pay to get gears installed.

Im auto and am thinking about 4.10s I will notice a big difference correct?

i would say just about anywhere if you have the gear set already,i would say take ur car the gearheads performance in arlington tx but thats pretty good drive for you!

200 is pretty much average.....and yes you WILL notice some 4:10's

google your location and mustang shops and you will find whatever is close and big. Thats how I found mine anyway. And you can expect between 150-400 for labor depending on where you go. Some places wont install your gears, only ones they supply. So you have to buy theirs.

+1

Can do $450 installed for gears(includes the gears) 3.73/4.10, plus if you don't have a tuner we can recalibrate your gear ratio for free!

Wow that sounds like a great deal! I bet you get tons of business. Around here everyone wants 700+ to the job. Thats a far drive for me though

Since Im auto will I absolutely need an sct tuner after I get the install done? I think I can afford the gears and install now but not the tuner....

I paid $150 for the install which is a really good price, not to mention I live in west palm beach so everything is usually more.
btw, 4.10's are awesome, would never do anything less...

jrherald420 07-27-2009 02:21 PM

150.00 is common around here for install.

lilcrate 07-27-2009 05:58 PM

I payed 500 for everything including royal purple. All though I had to calibrate myself on my own tuner.
