Good question, why didn't you keep the Saleen? I love that color! And i know what you mean about paying this or that for the cars, you can't touch em round here for anywhere near the book value, they are all still waaaaay overpriced.

Thats why I jumped on my car when I saw it for sale, it had 72k, and it was bone stock, they wanted 7500$ for it. The next closest deal in 100 miles at the time was an 02 vert, a little cleaner, 65k, for 14k! Thats almost double the price, for what? Seems people just mark it up however they like!

Yeaa i notcied on mustangs speical. ppl who put anything like rims or exhuste dont understand that usally hurts the value and a car thats modded is only going to appeal to a certain group. i told the guy with the GT since his car has a accdent recored i lowerd the price 30% he didn't think it was right, the hood trunk, fenders looked blue from fadding paint.

Ya I learned that lesson the hard way, adding mods definitely does not increase the value, it decreases the size of the group of people willing to buy the vehicle, so it actually lowers the value. I had way over 10k into aftermarket mods on my ranger, and it would have been worth 11,500$ bone stock. With my mods, the best i was able to get was 9k$, and most offered me 7-8k$, I took the 9k$ and cried. lol.

There are a lot of great deals out there. And as far has tests, you will know if somethings wrong with it, or if you know a mechanic have him look at it.
Actually, the 2000 GT came with the 16" wheels as standard equipment. The star wheels were optional.
