Default is 12k a good asking price??

I've been considering selling my mustang for a little while now. I love the car but Living in New England I only get to drive it half the year, and still have to make payments on it. It's also expensive having 2 cars so I might just get myself a nice truck.

My main question is is 12K a good asking price??

you can ask whatever you want but with todays market you will be lucky to get 9000 for it with the year and miles. I am not downing it as its a sweet ride but the market sucks right now. I am seeing these things going cheap best of luck to you..............

$10k is the max you will get for your car and that would take long time to find the right buyer. The market kind stinks and New Edge Mustangs just are not holding their value.

Not to mention you're selling it in the wrong area at the wrong time. If you were in my area 11 to 12 would be possible.

yeah in this economy it won't happen. I thought about selling mine for $12k (which is a steal) with 2 sets of wheels and quickly realized that now is the time to buy, not sell.

Ya $12k is to high. Maybe you might find that one buyer who doesn't know much about Mustangs other than they want one and they buy it for $12k. Happens quite a bit where I'm from. But for those who know Mustangs and what their worth, I would be surprised if you get over $10k.

You'd have to be at $7k to $8.5k to move it quickly here in NE Florida, maybe $10k if the right buyer came along--but the mods will turn off a lot of buyers and will never add up to what they cost you.

I paid $12k for my '03, 3 years ago, with 30k miles on it...

thanks for blowing up those pics for me. I know 12k to 10k is a long shot. I'm not anxious to get rid of it and would be willing to wait for the right buyer, but this economy is a killer. thanks for the input guys

It can't hurt to list it, wait for a few calls, and just see what happens.

I paid 9500 for a 5 year old New Edge GT with 48K miles when I bought mine.

You're looking at a 7 year old car with more miles.

Again, what can it hurt to list it? I'm sure there are plenty of cheap/free sites/magazines/places you can list it for sale on.
