Default Car care in Ohio weather?

I'd really like to drive my car all winter but i know it can damage. I was looking for some tips to prevent engine damage and etc. Such as if i should run alittle rich or stuff like that.

I wouldn't think you need to do anything. I far as making the car run richer/leaner and what not, your car automatically adjust its self to run properly in all weather climates.

If you are set on using your car in the winter, I'd say a good set of snow tires and frequently rinsing the car off. Particularly if they use a lot of salt in your area. Salt can do a nasty job under the car, where you can't really see what's going on.

What is this "snow" that you speak of? lol shows how much I know. I didnt even think about the snow and the roads being salted. Gotta love Texas.

what part of ohio are you in

also not sure if this is used all through ohio but in my area they use a liquid ice melt/prevention that is very very hard on metal parts of the car make sure you find a way to get the underbody clean and wax it often

your car will be F___ed no matter what you do...

salt gets in where you cant wash it off and eats the body from the inside out.

Yep. I had a 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD that I used for 17 winters. I loved that car and it was fabulous in snow. Unfortunately, no matter how good the car looks from the outside, the years of salt had been doing a number on the underside of the car. I finally sold it, because the damage was just too much. I took good care of that car too. I've heard stories of people having rust problems from the salt much sooner than I did.

If you truly love your car, find a winter beater to take the punishment from the snow and salt. If you have to drive your Mustang in the winter, clean it often (which can be a problem on days when the temperature is below freezing).

Mustangs suck ball$ in the winter , I drove one a few winters ago and was getting stuck all the time even with a good set of all weather tires rated 8.5 in snow. If I was you I would buy a 500$ beater and store the stang plus salt is bad for your car.
