Water in my tail light....

Water in my tail light....
Water keeps getting into my driver's side tail light. Though I haven't taken a real close look at it, I assume that I have a crack somewhere and the housing needs to be resealed. I am wondering though, what is the best way to get the water out?
I have heard of drilling a small hole to let the water out....and I have also heard of baking the housing to evaporate the water. There is a good bit of water inside, almost past the top of the reverse light square, so I am thinking that I will need to drill a hole in the bottom right hand corner of the lens to drain 90% of the water and then bake it to remove the rest. What have y'all done? If all else fails, I'll just buy another housing.

Interesting....
Maybe I'll put it on a tray in the grill for a couple of minutes...shoot for rare to medium rare, that way it is still red in the middle.
or perhaps the smoker....Hi Oh!

Why drill it????? Just take out the housing from the car, turn it upside down to get the excess water out, take an air nozzle to it and dry it out. Inspect it for cracks, if you can't see a majorly visble cracks, check the seal around the bulb sockets. For that amount of water to be getting in, there needs to be a sizeable gap for it to get through. If you find the cracks, seal em' with chemical clean up silicon, not water soluble.
