4.30 gears
#21
90% of my highway driving is on a two lane on each side highway where the speed limit is 60. I was exaggerating a little, I usually do 65 but not more than that. Our freeways our 70 but rarely hit them for more than a few minutes. They all intertwine near the city, so just hop on and hop off when I am up that way. I'm not a speeder, never had a speeding ticket.

Here is my "How fast can I go in each gear?" calculator that can answer a lot of the questions posed in this thread--please read the notes at the bottom of the page, especially the tire diameter footnote.
Inevitably someone takes me to ask over the tire diameters used in the calculator because they went to some manufacturer and tire vendor website and "the numbers I use are wrong"--thing is those charts will show the unloaded diameter of tires, not the effective diameter of a loaded tire.

there's only a 125 rpm difference at 70 mph between 4.10 and 4.30 gears with an automatic. i did my research and decided to buy 4.30 gears. at 70 mph, you're at about 2800 rpms. with stock gears, i'm right at 2000 rpms at 70. not a huge jump. but then i got another speeding ticket and decided not to install the gears, and they're for sale if you want them. $125 shipped.
