Default Need some HP suggestions PLEASE!!

Ok, I thought I would leave it to you guys to help me with adding some horsepower to my 1998 GT. Now keep this in mind, I don't want to do anything real expensive like adding superchargers or anything like that because I am in the Air Force and don't really make that much money. What are some things that I can do to the mustang to add some quick horsepower to it? I already put flowmasters on and ordered a CAI for it. Go ahead and go crazy with ideas for me. Thanks.

Have you done a PI swap? or 410s will both help about the same.

bbk or steeda underdrive pullies will give you some lost get up and go, when you down shift your motor will go right into gear with out crazy rpm drops, resulting in bogging your tranny

PI head is the best thing you can do. i would go with 3.73 cuase they work better with 96-98 stang, 4.10s work better with 99-04 stangs. intake plenum and 75mm throttle body will also help u specially if you swapto
PI heads

I didn't know UDPs did that?!?! I better get me some of those so my engine doesn't bog when I downshift

If you don't want to spend a lot on mods you could get: 4.10 gears, a STS, tuner (especially if you have an auto), TB/Plenum, UDPs, LTs, mid pipe and catback (not just mufflers), N20, Stage I or II cams (cheap if you install them yourself).

Out of those I would recommend getting: 4.10, STS, tuner and a full exhaust with LTs and not shorties. Then if you still want more, but not a s/c, then you could add the TB/Plenum and UDPs but you still wouldn't get that much more of your car with those.

PI swap is your best bet but can still be expensive especially if you get someone to do the work
You can get PI heads/cams and the intake rather inexpensively if you look on Ebay and/or Craigslist
