Default got new tires, steering wheel vibration?

I got some nitto 555's installed last week. At about 45mph the steering wheel shakes. Is that an indication that I need an alignment or could the wheels not be balanced properly?

what size tires are up front, if they are 245's then no, if bigger than you need alignment changes done, because at stock the alignment is thinking a smaller tire diameter, with a bigger tire up front the angles are are going to be off. I think thats right, some guy at a shop told me that.

Its not that big of a deal, it just wears out the outer edge of the tire a little faster. Just go to a tire shop or whatever and get it aligned properly

mine does that but its the driveshaft Im pretty sure...its not balanced properly. In you case, did the vibration start right after the new tires? Its hard to think they would be balanced improperly, but it could happened. Likely an alignment. I dont know about shops and CC plates, I dont have em myself.

This might be a stupid question, but have you checked to make sure all of your lugnuts are tight?

no i havent. I guess I should do that. The tires that came off were worn on the outside edge and not so much on the top/inside. The guy at the tire place said its from cornering but I am wondering if an alignment is needed now.

I would definately get an alignment, even if it turns out the alignment doesnt solve the vibrations, its always good to get it aligned often, as it comes out easily with bumps and whatnot. If it still vibrates after alignment, then back to where you got the tires and have them re balance them.
