Waste spark system?
 
Might be a stupid question, but I just want to make sure. Are the modulars a spark waster system, as in two spark plugs fire at the same time, even though the one does not actually ignite? Or does each cop only fire one at a time?

the coil on plug version is not, the older twin coil pack with plug wires found on some modulars is.

One thing that the COP system does do is fire each plug 3 times at lower rpms. Being a geezer this surprised me first time I saw it (I kept playing with the scope settings trying to eliminate the "ghost" traces. It is apparently, from what I have learned, pretty common with newer cars, to clean up emissions at idle...

LOL you got more stuff tested on your car than OEMs do most likely. Good post.
