Im a mechanic.... buy my truck!!

Car looks really clean, not a fan of the bullits, but that engine bay looks sweet. And calling that Cobra slow is just nonsense. I had a 98 with 4.10s, o/r x pipe, pulleys, and LCAs and it ran 12.9 on street tires and would trap 108-109 all night. Do that with your GT

To TheMustang: Car looks good, but I thought the Sportlines would sit you lower than that. My brother had 18's with Sportlines and it sat super low. Maybe because of sagging. But nice looking GT man.

Yeah I kind of had that feeling from the get go. I will give the final verdict after I look at it. I love love love my GT and I think I will keep it more than likely, but that engine bay in the Cobra looks like you could eat off of it. I'll post later tonight guys. BTW, I just want to say thank you to everyone on this forum who is polite, nice, and actually gives advice. I am a member of bikeforums.com and some of those guys are just plain jerks who think bed mouthing someone over the Internet makes them a BA.

I wonder if the car weighing 250 lbs less than stock would make it sit up higher?

Well, I never got the chance to look at it tonight. I think I will keep my GT and do everything I want to it, once I get the money. I think I am going to look at it I think because you never know.

just felt I had to add this: My cousin just got a 97 Cobra w/ 140k and man let me tell you, that thing picks up! All it has is a Bassani cat-back. You can feel the power at low RPM's unlike an unmodded 97 gt and at high RPM's that thing hauls and doesn't stop all the way. It goes!. It's a whole new world! And there's so much benefits in modding those motors. I'd say sacrifice alittle more and get paid double for getting a much superior performance car as to the gt 2v.

A gt is only a couple bolt ons away from mid 13s.. if speed is not everything why are you going to sell a car that you already have just so you can be in a car that is really not all that much faster than what your in now...

...and to loose the sexy new edge body for that!!!! Keep your car and make it your own. Personalize it and you will feel better about it than buying what someone else did. Thats what I think.

Cuz not everyone finds the new edge to be a superior body style.

Some of us actually have 96-98 because we prefer them, not just because that's what we could afford.
