Default whats better for me?

I've been looking at alot of different posts, and i was even wanting to do the 5.4l swap. but I'm trying to figure out whats better for me. Heres the dilema, I dont want to get crazy with power, I just want to be able to hold my own with the newer stangs, camaros, newer v8's

So is it better to do just the pi head and put in some performance cams, or drop in a 5.4l?

How can i gain more torque from a 4.6?

would be easier to do a PI swap, cams, and F/I of some kind. Just my opinion though.

PI swap and a 100 shot. You'll do just fine with a 100 shot against any of those cars you mentioned.

well if your looking into getting a S/C you could get a set of blower cams, or maybe get a custom grind of some kind, it all depends on what your plans are for the car.

I had a thought dont know if it could work,

Can i swap out the heads and cams from a 3v or 4v 4.6l instead if the just pi heads from the 2v? would that be better?

Me, I would do H/C/I and go FI. You would not have a problem then. Would still be easier than a 5.4 swap IMO.

Maybe someday i would s/c it, but mainly i'm just wanting to build up some toorque and hp, I want something respectable. Nothing crazy, just a mustang that will be able to hold its own, with the updated ones.
