Default getting t-56 and rebuilding the rear with new gears!

on that subject wheres the cheepest place to go for centerforce or spec clutches and flywheels? i know sometimes we get discounts through some places here just not sure where.
Oh and since im going to a t-56 it has a 10 spline, but im replaceing clutch and flywheel, so do i just stick with the same stuff i would use for the t-45? or what?

you will need a new clutch and flywheel, as well as a driveshaft, or you can have a shop cut and shorten yours, just try to get one from an 03/04 cobra. If you upgrade the input shaft on that thing it'll be damn near indestructable.

+1 ^^^ go to a 26 spline and it will be good til ~ 700rw or so depending on how you drive.

How much would it cost to upgrade the input shaft... I see a lot of people doing it (for obvious) reasons, but no one ever talks about how much.

You need the shaft plus the shim kit.

So say $400 or so plus labor if you dont have the know how.

my t45 has play in it, i was looking into a t56 instead of rebuilding it. im only thinking this because a lot of people i talk to say its worth it in terms of strength and reliability vs the weak old t45.

All comes down to your wallet. At your power level it's not really necessary but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool if you can afford it.

Lethal, AM, any of the sponsors on the site pretty much have those clutches. For you, I'd go with a SPEC stg 2+. Holds like 680lb/tq and has the drivability of the stage 2. That would be a good choice for ya. Thats what im going with over the winter because my clutch is SHOT. But definitly upgrade the input shaft. There is a kit for it on LFP. It has a stage 3+ clutch but you have an 8 bolt crank since youre pre-02 so the kit should work for you too.
