Engine/Tune Problem
Well heres the deal.
Had my motor rebuilt with cams, ported heads.pi intake,tb,etc. Brought it in for a dyno tune and it has lost a lot of power. The tune was installedis a standard one done at a local performance shop. Would the tune make the motor that much more sluggish if you will. Granted it idles better know,But the power difference is very noticeable. |
is it an automatic by chance?

as silly as it may sound, it could have a lot to do with the transmission. I had a similar issue with my ranger(it was automatic). Thats actually the reason I gave up on modding an auto lol. I unfortunately cannot offer much insight, as I'm not sure what they ever did to correct it. Im drawing a blank like a dummy right now and its making me mad lol.

I would call them or talk to them and ask if they messed with any of the transmission timing/tuning. Another thing I suppose could be a drastic change in the tourqe curve, and it might not jive well with your converter stall speed. Do you have a factory converter?
