Default nitrous on a 4.6????

Just wondering if putting nitrous on my 99 mustang gt with a stock 4.6L is a good idea.....? Motor is completely stock, what would be a good/safe kit to go with if i wanted to do this.

i ran a wet kit (off brand) on the car in my sig, completely stock with 420,000 miles on it(i think thats a record, but anyways) i ran 70,125,and a 150 shot on it for a long time...still ran great when i took it out.

125 shot seems to be what others run safely, but it is recommended to go one stage cooler on your spark plugs upgrade your fuel pump.

I just listed a few basics here, to get you pointed in the right direction...

Well, i wouldn't say it's a good idea...lol. But i understand what you're saying, and your car will be fine.

Just have it setup right, and keep it around a 100-125 shot with a good tune.

Ya either run a 100-125 shot, colder plugs and accessories (purge, bottle heater etc). If you want to be extra safe you can get a new fuel pump and do a tune.

Well people define "cheap" different. Good nitrous kits are Zex and NX (I'm sure there are others but those are the two off the top of my head). If you want to run nitrous safe, the kit plus all the safety accessories will run you around $1000-1500. AmericanMuscle has the Zex kits and you can visit NX's website they also have a good accessory kit called GenX something something. Hope this helps!
