I will DD my Mustang but park it in the winter then drive my Honda around. The way my insurance worked was all the discounts I got went onto my Mustang (since it was more money to insure) and my Honda policy says i'm 25, which gets me a discount. I pay $101 for my Stang and $33 for my Honda.

I drive my Mustang daily, summer and winter. If its really bad I drive my 4x4 truck. On nice days I ride my Harley. I'm not worried at all about mileage. I keep the car in good repair. If I do wear it out I know there will be plenty of low mileage New Edge Mustangs for sale from those that kept theirs in the garage.
I'm not saying that to be nasty. Over time priorities change. Things like job changes, marriage, children, house payments, children's college, etc. cause them to change. I sold my original muscle cars (which I now wish I could have somehow kept) and didn't buy another until the kids were out of college. Priorities change. My Mustang was built from the beginning to be a daily driver and I intend to enjoy driving it nearly every day.

I bought a 2002 zx2 in 2004 with 13,xxx miles for 6500. It now has 150,xxx and i drive it daily. My insurance on my mustang is like 200 a month, like 230 with zx2. The zx2 saves me a lot of money and keeps the stang nice.

I know EXACTLY what to do because I saw Ferris Beuller's Day Off..
Jazzer & Ferris... reverse the curse of high mileage

I wanted to get an STI for my dd but the price of them things are still so damn high. Plus I think if I got one it would take mod money away from my cobra so I ended up just buying a svt focus lol.

Well, I live within walking distance of regional rail, so I don't have to get in a car at all. Not sure what my insurance is...umbrella insurance, plus my wife handles that. It's gotta be cheap though...lol. I usually put on about 5K miles a year.

No way will I expose my Mach 1 to winter driving and all the salt that's put down around where I live. I saw what this combination eventually did to my beloved Eagle Talon.
For many years, I drove a 96 Z-28 and had a 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD as my winter/bad weather driver. It was a great combination....till 18 winters finally took their toll on the Talon.
Now, I have a very capable winter car in my 02 Eclipse GT. It is comfortable, quick enough, loaded with all the bells and whistles, and has handled 7 winters exceptionally well. It spares the Mach 1 from bad weather. It also helps to make my "fair weather car" feel like a brand new car when I finally get it back into circulation in the spring.
I tend to drive the Mach 1 as much as I can in the good seasons, because once the snow and ice hit, it isn't leaving the garage.
