Jesus, your car only has 3X,000 miles and a clean title, and you want to trade it straight up for a 8x,000 mile Cobra that has a rebuilt title?

Are you nuts? Is EVERYONE else in here nuts?

The bottom end of that Cobra as far as I know, is not much stronger than the bottom end on the GT. A blower and the supporting mods puts you around 4500 or so dollars and you're running 12's with a car that has around 1/3rd the mileage of the Cobra.

I don't know, it's your money and your car, but I'd hold onto the GT instead of a likely abused Cobra.

Yes, stock for stock there's a 260-320 hp difference, however in stock form a Cobra is only a few clicks quicker in a quarter mile. Bigger difference in a roll race, but I still stand by the idea that the two cars are not equal in value. At least, they wouldn't be to me.

The 'O1 Cobra's were rated at 320 bhp. The '04 Gt's 260. The '01 Cobra does not have a forged rotating assembly. It has the same rods and pistons as the GT. The 4v motor has stronger valve springs that allow a higher redline. But, because of the increased airflow through the motor, it can safely make a little more horsepower than the GT with a supercharger.

cobras are a better but you only got 30k or so miles and a clear title. i wouldnt give that up for a 01 cobra with 88k miles. i would find a nice 03/04 cobra for a 17-18k and trade it in on that.

Don't do it, stick with your GT and wait for an 03-04 Cobra to show up. Also i wouldn't trade because of the rebuild on the title. that just me thought. you don't know what kind of hell the car has gone through.
don't know you but congrats on the marriage, Good luck
