Default How reliable is the Vortech Supercharger?

Came across a "like new " Vortech setup for my 03. Is this a decent supercharger and how is it for install ? Not crazy about using engine oil in supercharger. Loose motor loose supercharger & visa versa... Right? Are the oil lines a pain to install ? A buddy was telling me it's a good set up,but Im not convinced.

I've had a V1 in my car since the summer and it is holding up well even though it hasn't been too long.

The oil return line is easy just take your time and follow the directions. Mine has not leaked at all.

The hardest part is probably going out looking for random misc. parts that may not be included with a used kit.

i've had mine on for about 4 months and so far so good. dont worry about the oil lines, like vanquish said just take your time and make sure you do it right.

i also agree vortech superchargers are quality. if your buying used make sure the bearings and seals are good and the unit seems to be in good shape. i have also heard taping the oil pan isnt too bad, but the thought of doing it is definitely unsettling.

Very reliable blower! Only thing I'd tell you to do is upgrade the oil feed line from the red rubber hose with brass fittings to the new steel line/fittings http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=72
