Default Moonshine's Cobra build!

Alright I guess it's time I start a thread on my little project I've got goin on.

So, I've decided to slap on a blower on the Cobra. Novi1k.

Bracket is custom built by a buddy. 1/2" cnc machined aluminum.

The bracket is actually for a 2001 Cobra, so I had to get a new timing cover. Pulling the cam covers off is a treat!

Got some FRPP 42# jectors off a guy from Corral.

Got myself a Walbro 255 with the kit as well. That's installed. No pics though. Had to solder some wires, and grind on the bucket a bit to get the pump to fit inside the hole! Sweet. I decided not to drill holes in the bucket though. Hope that doesnt come up to bite me in the *** later on.

Got myself a badass Speed of Sound A pillar pod for my Procharger boost and Innovative wideband.

Also got an MMR coolant crossover delete. F'ing badass dude's!!

I decided that my AC lines won't allow for a power pipe...so I got a little filter to fit on the blower.

Got myself a Moroso coolant expansion tank....just because. $150 off ebay...so why not?! Plus it looks badass.

I'm converting to a 05+ slot style MAF. Got the sensor and piggy from VMP. I haven't installed it yet...still working out the intercooler piping and intake situation. Weird.

I have no idea what I'm doing...!! Never done this before...so I'm learning a lot. It's fun and I'm doing it all by myself lol...

Happy posting!

Oh yeah...forgot to add that I've got a paxton intercooler I'm running. Piping is a bitch to route...but whatever. I've got a procharger bypass valve as well. Going to vent to the atmosphere of course.

The blue piece of the intake is going to be black.

Question for you's guys who know much about MAF sensors. Can I mount mine right after that bend of the elbow coming up from beneath the blower? I know you're supposed to have a bit of a 'straight' section, but I'm figuring since i've got the slot style now, maybe it won't be such an issue. Thoughts?

I wouldn't mount it there I think you will get MAF wash there.

If that blue piece is gonna be rubber and never aluminum pipe I would mount it right before he blue rubber.

Yeah the bungs are in the Y block. Just have to extend the harness for the plug.

Blue piece is aluminum. Just going to paint it. I want to mount the MAF there...but do I have enough straight between the bend of the lower pipe and the MAF? I'm just going to weld in a plate on the pipe itself to mount the MAF sensor.

Just weld the bung right into the piece itself? Hmm...you might be on to something!
