Default shorties?

im looking for a good set of shortie headers, im putting together a mmr900 with stage 3 heads probebly, but before you all go nuts about the LTs, im not running NA for long, and i dont want to spend the money on a new exhaust set up, shorties will bolt right up, and hopefully give me extra power, all id like to know is a good set, and of course if i change to poly mounts, will they still fit right in without rubbing stuff they arent suposed to?

totally forgot about those, lol. was gonna put a set on my 70 years ago, they have come down a lot in price...used to be 800 for a set HA so much money. anyway they have shortie log style and equal length, obviously equal length is better, not sure why they bother offering the other kind, but i am curious they should bolt right up without any clearence issues right? i mean the equal length ones look a bit big....hate to buy them and have them not fit. Plus im putting in poly mounts, and i thought ive heard from some people that it lowers the motor or somthing stupid making clearence for headers a little harder? any of that make sense?

well acctually the motor is being built for turbos, but since it may be a year or two before i can afford them mine as well be fast NA, i figure 9.5 to one compression with cnc heads and shorties, along with all my other bolt ons, and a good tune, im hoping it will be close to 300 to the ground, dont know how close ill get but that would make me happy. Leaving stock cams in it tho, better for turbos than NA cams and i dont wanna have to tear back into a motor i just built. Besides a good turbo motor starts with a good NA motor.

good luck with the build. I'd be surprised if you hit 300 rwhp with stock cams & low compression. I'm sure the turbos will wake it up though.

well i could be wrong but arent we at about 9.5 to 1 on the stock 2v? im not running higher than that, but im also not going to run 8.5 to one. plus the other guy running one of these was running 10.5 to 1 but stock heads and cams, and he ran 300 i figure the cnc heads will offset the lack of higher compression? i may be way off.

Do JBA shorties work with a normal mid pipe or do you need a matching one? I had thought about equal shorties as well
