Additives/Cleaning agents

Hey guys. I hope this is not a common topic that I have not found, but I am wondering about additives and cleaners for your car and engine mostly. Because the car has 65000 miles on it that I have not taken care of it, I was just wondering if there was any kind of cleaner or anything that could be used, just in case, or just to do a little. Maybe clean the engine a little, or the injectors, or valves or whatever it may be. The car is about ten years old so I figure there is some dirt and grime built up somewhere. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't wanna go buy random stuff since I know some don't work, but I have to believe there are actually chemicals worth it out there.

Thanks!

If you get something for the fuel system, get something that has an PEA base. Like Redline SI-1 or Amsoil PI, Techron Concentrate, and I think Gumout with Regane to name a few. That should help clean the injectors and valves and anything else it touches. Im not sure about gumout they dont have any M.S.D. sheets on there website. Dont forget to do all the regular maintenance stuff like air filter, fuel filter, plugs and oil and what not.

Thanks. This car was pretty well maintained, and I know I will keep up on all of that, but I figured I should try to do something since I have not had control of everything, you know? I appreciate the info! I will look into!
