pulling the tranny on jackstands?

Default pulling the tranny on jackstands?

how hard is it to pull the tr3650 to replace the throwout bearing? and can it be done on jackstands?

i pulled the AOD outta my Thunderbird on the street.. i thought it would be harder and i had never done anything so involved on a car (if thats of any help to you)..

Can be done if you have the tools...you need sockets, swivels, extensions...and I would say atleast jackstands for the car and a jack that you can drop the trans with.



I did a 4r70w with l/t in my garage...terrible experience I might say

I have the tools and many years experiance working as a mechanic in the army just never pulled a tranny on a mustang so I figured i would get a feel for it by asking others experiance on here thanks guys

you will Def need swivel sockets and a long shank breaker bar to break those hard bolts loose..

Swivel sockets and lots of extensions. Tranny is light enough that you could probably pull it by hand if you had a friend there to help. I think that it only weighs 135lbs.

No i was medically retired november 07 from injuries sustained in iraq. bastardes wouldnt let me go back to the sand box lol

the only thing i dont have are swivels and a friend. I have only lived here in mckinney tx about 6 months. HMMMM wonder if i can convince the girlfriend to get greese under her fingernails hahah yea right. I would be paying for manicures for the rest of my life lol
