there is a big difference between a 98 cobra and gt. if you just looks up the specs on google you will see:

1998 Mustang GT Performance
- 4,601 cc 4.6 liters 8 V front longitudinal engine with 90.2 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, 9 compression ratio, cast iron block, light alloy head, overhead cam and two valves per cylinder
- Unleaded fuel
- Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 9.4
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- Power: 168 kW , 225 HP @ 4,750 rpm; 290 ft lb , 410 Nm @ 3,500 rpm



1998 Mustang Cobra Performance
- 4,601 cc 4.6 liters 8 V front longitudinal engine with 90.2 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, 9.9 compression ratio, light alloy block, light alloy head, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder
- Unleaded fuel
- Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 9.4
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- Power: 227 kW , 305 HP @ 5,800 rpm; 300 ft lb , 407 Nm @ 4,800 rpm

You didn't have to quote that for me. I'm more than well aware of the differences of an anemic Non PI 4.6, and a hand assembled 32V DOHC 4.6 motor. :-)

I was asking about the brakes between the two years.

But yes, you're right. Google has been 'our' friend in this instance

i should know this lol, i belive cobras come stock with 13" rotors, i swapped mine so long ago i don't even remember what was stock ( up front) and yes the front calipers say cobra, i think they have more stopping power but idk if thats due to the larger rotor or upgraded caliper, perhaps both?
