last night i was lookin on craigs list and found a pair of v6 wheels with 26x11.5x16 mickey thompson et whatever they r...the ones that pretty much look like slicks but r street legal. anyway the kid onlywanted 100 for them and they r in pretty good condition so i went and picked them up. pretty excited bout havin the wheels and tires so im goin to the track tonight but have some questions. what psi should i run thoes tires at? short burnout or long burnout? and i have tokico 5 way adjustable shocks, was wondering what i should set them at? 1 or 5 or what? i dont know what would give me the best weight transfer. dont think im gona b sprayin it tonight so ill b makin all motor passes. i reaaally hope to hit a 12.9 tonight..dont know tho. best on motor was a 13.3 @ 105 with a 2.0 60 so if i can cut a 1.8 or 1.7 do u guys think i could see 12.9?

Sounds like you got the MT ET Street. On MT website it says "requires little or no burnout." But you could always test out what works best, I'm guessing probably smokin them a little would work well.

And I think you could see the 12s tonight if you can launch them well. Good luck and have fun!

Are you going to Atco? I'd say if you can get a 1.8 or 1.7 out of it you should run better than 12.9 as long as the track's OK. It's gamblers night so it should be pretty tight. Keep the front end loose, tighten the rear to what the track will allow.

burn em till they smoke, launch @ 4000, pedal it, if you spin try 3500, you shouldn't have to go lower than 3500 pedaling.

You could try anywhere from 12-17psi and make adjustments from there.

thanks guys. just got back from the track. just made a post in the street/strip section. cut a nasty 1.7 60ft but still only a 13.3 @ 101. guess im not shiftin good enough

^^ maan i dont know whats up with the spray. the trap speed is there but idk what the deal is. guess im not shiftin good enough. i think if i can get a 1.7 60 with the spray and shift the crap out of it ill cut a 12.5. just ran a 12.70 tonight with a 1.8 60ft sprayin. i ran 13.3 on the motor befor but with a 2.0 60 then just ran 13.3 again tonight but with a 1.7 60. im not shiftin like i use to.

^^ dont feel bad. My first time at the track with the KB 2.1l sucked *****
best i ran was a 13.2 1/4 with a 2.2 60' and a trap of 109...

But i had a whole slew of issues
1)Poor driver
2)poor driver
3) and KB for some reason left the speed limiter on the damn thing

It was still fun as hell though.
