When I was young and stupid, I had my Elcamino painted by earl scheib (Same as Macco) It looked great for about a month... This is the only digital picture I have of the elcamino so it's in the background. Every place you see a "bullet hole" sticker is a massive chip or crack.

Yeah, they repainted it 3 times. The pictures above is the third time. They finally refused to acknowledge my compliant. It was only $600 so it wasn't worth it to do anything.

I went to see my buddy at work at maaco once, he was helping his boss with something so they asked me to spray the car there, pretty decent for the first thing i've ever sprayed in my life.

Probably varies depending on who is doing the labor and all. I have seen some turn out good and just needed a good wet sanding to bring them to life. Maybe if you provided your own paint you could get a more durable job. However, Black is one of the hardest colors to make look right, well next to silver probably.

good god i wouldnt even think about taking my car to maaco. i had a 97 gt that ended up with a maaco job on it and it was rough. that was supposed to be their best paint job too. orange peel like you wouldnt believe. the car didnt have hardly any shine to it when i went and picked it up. they are terrible unless your just wanting to get a $500 beater painted. I take my stuff to the dealer's paint shop now and everything that comes out looks better than new
