stuff seems so easy!!
just threw in downstream O2 sensors yesterday with the car on a lift and got to inspecting what i have on my hands...
ive had thunderbirds and my last was a 95 mark 8.compared to those, things on this car seem soooooo much easier to either modify and or work on lol.
mark 8 oil filter SUCKED, O2's were just as bad, front sway bar weaved through this and over that and under this.... same with tbirds(being same chassis style)
but damn this car seems so much more simple, alot more room. front and rear sway bar bolt out/in and dont seem to have to slide anything out. alot more room from front of engine to radiator, oil filter is not so tucked away, my whole exhaust is "U-clamped" or ball flanged together for easy removal.
i remember saying to myself when i had the tbird and lincoln, "oh there goes ANOTHER mustang" b/c they are so popular and i didnt want one becasue of that, but now im converted ahah. plus the fact that most guys i see with them make them as loud as possible and show off looking like a d@*chbag/toughguy.(maybe why my g/f didnt want me getting one )
also the fact that i no longer need to modify things to made mods on either tbird or lincoln but with this, its more or less buy it and install it.
always had to look for mustang parts and custom modify things to put them on the tbird/lincoln, now anything i want to do to my car i can go find it online and buy it....plus side is anything i want to do to it has already been done so all the kinks are worked out, bad side is its already been done lol and i like making my car a liiiitle bit different to the point no one else has it.
i have yet to figure that "thing" out yet but in time it will come. sorry for long post just figured id share my new found pleasure in this car and look forward to playing with this.
....also the fact that the parts for these are sooo plentiful to repair something, no longer do i have to hurry and track down upper IMRC to intake gaskets on a saturday night while my engine is ripped apart when you need the car monday for work (those gaskests are quite elusive when you NEEED them and the autozone Felpro ones dont quite work all the time)....ask me how i know

Yes, the Mustang is one of the easiest cars that I have ever worked on. The thing that makes the Mark VIII such a BITCH to work on is the K member. On the mustang, it's pushed toward the back of the car, on the mark, it's closer to the front. That makes a HUGE difference when working on the starter, oil filter, suspension, motor mounts, or exhaust.
