Might sell my 95 cobra for a 97 cobra..
im thinking about selling my heads and cam black on black 95 cobra for a white on black, unmolested 97 cobra. Should i do it?
Main reason i want to, is because i know the 97 cobra and its a great running car, never had a problem besides the IAC failing. My 95 cobra (and my old 94 5.0) always has so many big time problems, but it is decently fast (~300 RWHP, +/- 10hp) with the heads and cam.... I just want a car thats fast AND can take a good beating without breaking so much.
opinions?

well the 97 cobra makes 270ish stock (to the wheels), is a fun car with gears, you can see 12s with a steep gear bolt ons and a tire. However mods are a little expensive, but not horrible until you get into things like cams, (there are 4 of them so i mean thats why). I'd drive it and see what you think, I think the 97 is worth a few grand more too.

i think it is totally worth it, the car is basically bullet proof, keep up on your oil change, spark plug and plug wire changes, to keep the car cranking, and i havent had any issues with mine but i di just blow my clutch apart goin for a 3rd gear brake shot...but uhh great car, take it for a ride, check to see if the tranny does or doesnt gring... and have fun redlining to 7g!!!

The 4 valve has a lot of potential, but the 5.0 is cheap to mod. That's a tough call imo.

The 4v's just seem like a smoother, better running, more reliable platform.... Nothing against 5.0s, ive owned three, but they just NEVER run right for me, and im ALWAYS having major problems with them. Maybe its me? idk..

I would keep the 5.0...
