Default Innovate lc-1 wideband install help

Ok so I got everything wired up for the lc-1 and the analog gauge. I am still confused on the button and LED. I am to the point where it says switch on the 12V source for 20 seconds without connecting the o2 sensor. It says the LED should flash a 2 flash pattern or whatever during the 20 seconds but mine is staying constantly lit solid. Can someone tell me what I did wrong please?

What version of the instructions are you using?

AFAIK version 1.9 is the latest (click here) and it says (section 3, steps 1, 2, and 3) to switch the power on for 10 seconds with the sensor disconnected, then connect the sensor (step 4).

It's not until step 5 (sensor connected) that the LED should be on at all--blinking, slowly and steadily 2 times/second during warm-up, then rapidly (4 times/second) during heater calibration, then off during free-air calibration.

After free-air calibration is complete the LED should be on, and the gauge should read 22+ AFR (air only)...

Powering up the LC-1 for 10 seconds without the sensor connected, then powering down, connecting the sensor, and powering up again will force an automatic heater and free-air calibration the next times it's powered up--you do not need to press the button.

I feel like an idiot lol. I ended up just having a bad ground but I got it fixed and everything worked according to the instructions. Now I just have to install it in the mid pipe and finish mounting my gauge
